We can provide information and support around the National Redress Scheme

We can provide information and support to survivors of institutional child sexual abuse wanting to know more about the National Redress Scheme. The National Redress Scheme started on 1st July 2018.

Many survivors are still deciding whether they want to submit an application to the scheme. Blue Knot can support survivors and those supporting them during this decision making process.

We can also provide support with redress applications

The National Redress Scheme started on 1st July 2018. The Blue Knot Helpline and Redress Support Service team can support you right through your application. A number of services throughout Australia can provide face-to-face support for people during the application process.

Please call us on 1300 657 380 9am – 5pm Monday – Sunday AEST to find out more. You can also connect with us via email at [email protected]

  • We can also provide support and information to local services or GP’s about the redress process.
  • Linking you with face to face redress services using a warm referral process.
  • We will do the leg work for you, find a local provider and link you with them.

Blue Knot have been a great help to me and have helped me put together my redress application. It’s a great chance for any survivor/victim to start speaking with the right people, with people who really get it.
Rather than trying to convince people who never really believe or understand or have no idea, you can call Blue Knot and they will understand, even if you ‘umm and ahh’ your way through.
I think it’s particularly important for people during this covid time, to know there are people who get it and understand and believe you.
Now I always really look forward to my regular calls with my BK redress counsellor.
Agencies such as Blue Knot well and truly deserve any funding for their continued support.
