Dr. Cathy Kezelman AM

Dr. Cathy Kezelman AM is a medical practitioner, mental health consumer advocate and President and executive director of Blue Knot Foundation National Centre of Excellence for Complex Trauma. She is past director of the Mental Health Coordinating Council (MHCC), past member of the Mental Health Community Advisory Council (NSW) foundation member of the national Trauma Informed Care and Practice Advisory working Group, member of Independent Advisory Council on Redress.

Cathy worked in medical practice for 20 years, mostly as a GP. Under her stewardship Blue Knot Foundation has grown from a peer support organisation to a national centre of excellence combining a prominent consumer voice with that of researchers, academics and clinicians advocating for socio-political trauma-informed change and informed responsiveness to complex trauma.

She is a prominent voice in the media and at conferences, as well as author of a memoir chronicling her journey of recovery from child sexual abuse: Innocence Revisited- a tale in parts. She is co-author of multiple seminal Blue Knot Foundation documents.

On Australia Day 2015 Cathy was awarded an AM “for significant service to community health as a supporter and advocate for survivors of child abuse”.

Belinda Johnson

Belinda Johnson

Belinda Johnson is an Accountant with over 25 years of finance and business experience in a variety of SME’s. Belinda has a strong background in corporate governance, business and finance management, audit and risk and competitive/lean manufacturing.

Belinda currently is in Public Practice providing Cloud based financial management solutions to a variety of micros and SME. Belinda holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from UWS and a Certificate in Governance Practice with the Governance Institute of Australia.

Tamara O'Sullivan

Tamara O’Sullivan has a background in psychotherapy and leadership and has worked in the human services sector for 25 years in a variety of roles, both in government and non-government services. Leading teams in child protection work; out of home care – supporting children, adolescents, and their carers; specialised disability support programs; adoption services; adolescent work in family preservation, supported independent living and leaving care/after care programs.

She has led the scale up of a state-wide Centre based therapeutic restoration program working with parents and their children to bring them home safely; funded under Australia’s first Social Benefit Bond.

Tamara leads Blue Knot’s professional training and services arm with a strong focus on trauma responsive practice, creating safety in organisations, staff wellbeing and utilising the principles of secure base leadership.
