Guide to Everyday Conversations for the General Public

blue pneumonic knot

This publication is the first of our Talking about Trauma series. It supports safe conversations with people who have trauma experiences or who you suspect might have experienced trauma.

It presents trauma informed principles and outlines approaches to embed these principles to enable safe conversations with family members, friends, colleagues and people you don’t actually know, which you know or suspect have trauma experiences.

Blue Knot Foundation respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Lands on which we work and pay respect to First Nations peoples and their Elders past and present. We acknowledge their strength and resilience and are honoured to journey with them on the path to healing and reconciliation. Please be aware that this website may contain the names, images and voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who may now be deceased.
